Taekwondo Classes: Summer Round-up 2019

Some of our classes are changing. With the school year ending we’re excited to see you at open training over summer!

You can attend our community classes even if you usually train at one of our school clubs, or if you’re completely new to taekwondo.

Take part in one of our classes to see if we’re the right fit for you, and don’t forget your first session is free.

Got questions? Get in touch to find out more.

Our community clubs stay open throughout summer. These classes are:

  • Monday 6-7pm – The Dockyard Club, Onslow Road, Portsmouth PO5 2NH (community class)
  • Wednesday 7-8pm – The Dockyard Club, Onslow Road, Portsmouth PO5 2NH (invitation only)
  • Wednesday 8-9pm – The Dockyard Club, Onslow Road, Portsmouth PO5 2NH (seniors’ class – invitation only)
  • Friday 6pm-7pm – John Pounds Centre, 23 Queen Street, Portsmouth PO1 3HN (community class)

Want to start taekwondo this summer?

Our classes are perfect for beginners. Taekwondo teaches strikes, patterns, self defence and sparring, and is available to you whether you’ve trained in martial arts before or not. Your first taekwondo class with us is free, so make sure to come along!

Your first taekwondo class

We don’t expect you to know everything after your first session, and regularly train basics as well as advanced techniques.

Wear clothes that you can train in. This could be sportswear or loose clothing. Bring water with you for during the session, and make sure to tie back your hair if it will get in your way.

Have a specific question, or don’t know which class is best? Speak to us today.

See you at training soon!
